  One important project I built while working at WeCodePixels is a completely custom flight search engine with a strong focus on environmental awareness. This required connecting with numerous APIs to provide real-time data for flights and aircrafts as well as their ecological impact, and finally integrating them in a unified and very performant way.

  Another project I contributed to was for the automotive industry, in which we ingested and processed very large datasets, and finally presented them in an efficient and user-friendly way. Key responsibilities included tweaking the MariaDB database and crafting custom and highly efficient SQL queries, and implementing a bespoke and highly interactive visual representation of the data using D3.js.

  • Communicating with clients directly to gain insight on business requirements and provide the best-suited solutions.

  Clinic Software® (Aug 2016 - Oct 2019)

  My role at Clinic Software in London was to build and maintain the completely custom-built CRM system, offer customer support and specialized training, as well as attend as an exhibitior to international events such as Professional Beauty, CCR Expo, Olympia London, and FACE.

  The system I built is a complete suite for managing aesthetic clinics, beauty salons and spas. It includes a booking system, automatic reminders with 2-way SMS and email, lead funnel and conversion, online booking, tasks, courses, personalized client profiles, audits, billing and reporting, built-in automation where you can specify decision trees, consultation forms with support for signatures, rejuvenation procedures where you can take photos and specify injection areas, and usage of Bitcoin blockchain for proof of authenticity.

  Responsibilities

  • Integrations with financial software (Xero and Visma), payment solutions (PayPal, Stripe, 2Checkout, GoCardless, Netbanx, Braintree), as well as with physical payment terminals from Paymentsense UK and Nets.

  • Work with clients to identify custom requirements and then built them into the software: tailored-fit membership modules, direct-debit subscriptions, etc.

  • Custom API integrations to automate operation of tanning machines.

  • Build and maintain a custom Kiosk-like touch-screen interface for registering and placing orders.

  During my time as an independent contractor I built various websites and e-commerce shops using PHP, Adobe Flash, WordPress, phpBB, Joomla, osCommerce to name a few.

  One of the most interesting projects I worked on between 2009-2011 was the website and ticket printing software for the online orders at a popular televised game show. The website had over 300,000 registered users at its peak.
